'I got revenge on bullying coworker - but I'm worried I took things too far'

A woman has been slammed after sharing how she got revenge on a bullying coworker who kept making fun of her weight. The 35-year-old, who says she is 'on the stockier side', claims her coworker, Debbie, has been making snide comments about her appearance for months.

Taking to Netmums, she said: "It's not like I'm obese or anything, and I'm fine with my body. My coworker, however, clearly is not, since for the past three months, she's been making quips about my figure which make me uncomfortable, and I can never prove it."

In an attempt to put an end to the hurtful comments, she came up with a plan to teach Debbie a lesson she'll never forget. But not everyone believes she went about it the right way. She added: "Well, today, I decided I'd finally had enough. I wrote something down on a sheet of paper.

"I then went over to Debbie, tapped her on the shoulder, and handed her the note saying, 'The boss is busy and asked me to give you this'." On the note, the woman had put: "Debbie - You're fired. Signed, The boss." With that, Debbie burst out into tears before running out of the building screaming hysterically.

After seeing her reaction, the woman said: "Ever since then I've been unsure if how I handled things was okay." Commenting on her post, one user said: "This is bullying which she can prove as she has the note. You are a bully the same as her. If she follows procedure how will you feel if they discipline you?"

Another user added: "You never got her fired, you lied. Just because you didn't have proof of her saying unnecessary remarks about your weight you still could have reported it to your boss. If this person files an unfair dismissal lawsuit you may be in a lot of trouble."
